Taking Photography to a Whole New Level

In Announcements, Blog by Kay1 Comment

Today, I finally installed Adobe¬†Lightroom 5 on my computer! Students, if you’re interested at all in photo editing, definitely invest in Lightroom because there is a fairly hefty student/teacher discount. I’m not even kidding. It’s truly going to revolutionize my photos. Not only is this amazing news for my lackluster photography, but also for this website, since now I can finally upload high-quality, beautiful photos rather than my usual cell phone stuff. I mean, not that I don’t loooove my iPhone, but now I’ll finally be able to put by good old DSLR to use. Exciting times, right?

Now that I have that all squared away, I’m going to try and bring you guys as many pictures as I can from beautiful Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With that, I’m starting a photo series – the Brasil 100, which you can find both here on The Kay Days and on my Facebook page (which, if you haven’t already liked, you definitely should! I post some cool stuff on there once in a while…). There should also be a smattering of them on my Twitter, too. Keep an eye out because I’m going to try and post one every day!

In other news…

Here are a couple of photos I edited today, and my first of the Brasil 100. Enjoy!

  1. I tried Lightroom a couple of times but couldn’t really get in to it. I always use Photoshop to edit my photos. I might give Lightroom another chance though!
